Description from Goodreads:  Sadie White's summer job isn't going to be on the beach life-guarding or working at rental booths like most kids her age. With her single mother's increasing pregnancy and refusal to work, Sadie has to take over her mother's job as a domestic servant for one of the wealthy summer families on a nearby island.

When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. If Sadie hadn't spent her life raising her mother and taking care of the house she might have been normal enough to be excited about working for a rock star.

Even though Sadie isn't impressed by Jax's fame, he is drawn to her. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax but he fights his attraction. Relationship's never work in his world and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. By the end of the summer, Jax discovers he can't breathe without Sadie.

My Thoughts:  I absolutely love Abbi Glines and have read all of her books.  Breathe was her debut novel, the first in her Sea Breeze Series.  Sadie and her mom Jessica have moved to the Alabama coast from Tennesse.  Her mom is pregnant, and though Sadie is only 17, she has had to face more and than most adults have.  She has been forced by circumstance to take on the role of a parent and desperately tries to make ends meet.  Despite all that she has been through, she has not allowed her circumstances to tarnish her character or her disposition. When Jessica doesn't go to work one day, she sends Sadie in her place.  Despite her young age, she manages to land the job as a domestic worker in her mom's place.  Little does she know the mansion she is working at is owned by the rock star heart throb Jax Stone.

I really loved Sadie, and admired her strength and character.  Though she is absolutley beautiful, she never uses her beauty as a means to achieve anything the way her mother has.  She has a strong work ethic, and those who work with her grow to respect and love her, and she makes some really good friends, one of her best being Marcus Hardy, who would do just about anything for her.  Jax Stone is charming, talented and hot.  Jax doesn't really know what to make of Sadie.  He is used to girls falling all over him and Sadie isn't impressed by his celebrity status at all.  As Sadie and Jax get to know each other, she finds that he isn't what she expected either.  Jax and Sadie fall in love, and he refers to her as "his air,"...swoon, swoon, swoon.  Though this sounds like  fairy tale dream come ture, Jax and Sadie have to overcome many obstacles and heartache as they discover if their love for each other is truly enough.

Abbi Glines has written a beautiful story overflowing with love, heartache, and romance.  It is a great story, causing you to experience both laughter and tears, and it reads like a breath of fresh air.
