Description:  When Taylor meets Gabriel at college, she is in awe of the subtle glow that surrounds him. No one else, not even her best friend, seems to notice.  Something about him scares her.  Is all as it appears? While Taylor struggles for answers, she finds herself in the middle of a century old war centered on one miraculous revelation: evolution.

My Thoughts:  Taylor is at her first year of college at UT with her best friend and roommate, Sam.  All her life she has felt like she has a sixth sense.  She has had strange and recurrent nightmare, in which there are two beings, one light and one dark.  There is also a hideous snake that plaques Taylor in her nightmares and has left her very fearful and feeling out of control many times.  Taylor lost her mother when she was a young teenager.  One of the last things her mother gave her was a four-leaf clover ring, which she wears all the time.  She even has an obsession with finding a four-leaf clover wherever she goes, viewing it as a sign that she is supposed to be there.  It is while looking for this four-leaf clover one day that Taylor meets Gabriel.  Gabriel is beautiful, and Taylor notices that he seems to have a light that surrounds him all the time, sort of like one of the beings in her dream.  She isn't to sure about him at first, but he is really hot, and he eventually wins her over.

Taylor finds out that Gabriel is an angel, and he tells her a story about the angels and demons, and how they came into being.  He tells her about the war they are fighting, and he tells her about who she really is.  Subsequently, Taylor meets Chris, who is a demon, like one of the dark beings from her dream, only he isn't what she expected.  She actually likes him.  Chris even begins dating Taylor's best friend Sam.  In the meantime, Taylor and Gabriel have fallen in love, and Gabriel begins to question the whole agenda the angels have surrounding the war and what he has always been told regarding why they are fighting it.  Taylor finds herself in the midst of one of the biggest battles ever fought between good and evil, and she is the at the very center of it,being "the one" whose coming they have awaited for a very long time.  Can Taylor's friends save her in time before everything is destroyed?  Gabriel now has to choose between Taylor and the plans of the Angel Council, and then find out if he will be able to survive those choices.

The whole take on angels and demons in Angel Revolution was completely different from anything I have ever read before and made for an interesting read.  David Estes writes from multiple points of view (Taylor, Gabriel, Chris, and Sam), so you are able to get each character's perspective, which enables you to feel like you know them a little better and it made the book more mysterious.  There is action, adventure, supernatural creatures, and romance.   Estes unique twist on the angel and demon concept, how they came into being, why they were fighting each other, and what Taylor and to do with it all made the book very interesting, intriguing, and curious to see what direction the story would take next.  This all made for a fast paced and entertaining read.  I really enjoyed the story line and the world Estes has created.  If you love stories about angels and demons, then you will enjoy David Estes' Angel Revolution.
