Description:  Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.

Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first…

My Thoughts:  OMG with a capital G, this book was AWESOME!!!! I am a big fan of Jennifer Armentrout, so when I saw this book published under her pen name J. Lynn, which she uses for her adult series, I HAD to have it. I usually stick to YA books, but if you've read anything by Jennifer, you know everything she writes is absolutely awesome.  Needless to say, I was blown away.

I don't want to give to much away, but as you can see from the description, this is a contemporary romance centered around Madison and Chase, who have known each other all their lives, while at Madison's brother's wedding. Madison's brother also happens to be Chase's best friend. After avoiding their feelings for each other for years, they are forced to come face to face with them over the course of the wedding festivities and a mix-up in the room reservations.

This story is fun, entertaining, fast paced, and hot, Hot, HOT!!!! Chase is one of those guys you would classify as sex on a stick, which Jennifer is so good at writing about, and the chemistry between Chase and Madison is absolutley off the charts. Though a YA fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this "grown-up" story and would highly recommend it. True to form, J. Lynn (Jennifer Armentrout) will leave you amazed (and fanning your face a bit) with her writing.

Be sure to check out the awesome contest Jennifer is having in celebration of the release of "Tempting the Best Man."

  1. I read it the day of the release. Like you, when I heard about this one under her author penname, I couldn't wait any longer. So, I bought it on the kindle store. I'm weak.

Like you pointed out in your review, it's a good contemporary romance. Like always, Jennifer L. Armentrout, or J. Lynn here, can't disappoint us with her characters. There's always this special chemistry that I crave to read.

If I'm not wrong, I rated it 4 stars on Goodreads. ;)

  2. :) sounds like a fun book by the amazing Armentrout!

  3. Bow Chicka Wow Wow. Sounds like a great read, so I put this one on my To Be Read List.

  4. Let me just say this book was FRICKIN' HOT!! Holy, HOT DAMN is all I can say. I feel like a hormonal teenager right now. This book was so hot, but not smutty hot. It was just the right amount of hotness to make blush and need to fan yourself. Yeah, I am aware that I am saying hot too much, but DAMN! That's what this book should be named, The Hot-capades! That's not even a word but that is how I feel about it. Oh, and did I mention that it alternates POV's between Madison and Chase?? Oh Lord have mercy! Chase is so effin sexy. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a sexual frustration GENIUS!! If you haven't heard me say it before, I'm saying it again, you need to read her books NOW!! I'm not kidding, get your butt onto Amazon or BN and buy them, or you can check your library. Trust me, you want to buy them, because you will want to read them again. I'm still smacking myself in the face for taking 2 months to read Shadows and Obsidian.

Thanks for your comments. I love hearing from you!
