Interview with Sebastian, the Hook-Up Doctor
Today we are talking with Sebastian, The Hook-Up Doctor himself, from Nyrae Dawn’s What a boy wants. (Sigh) Hi Sebastian, thanks for coming by. What’s up! Glad to be here.
You have really nice hair (Sigh again). Spend much time on it? Seriously. If I would have known how much my hair affected girls all along, I totally would have paid more attention to it. I don’t really do anything with it. It’s just kind of like that.
Have you always had the “swoon” affect on girls? Absolutely. I mean, I’m not going to lie. *eyes Nyrae who rolls her eyes at me*. Nah, I’m kind of kidding about the swoon thing. I don’t really see it that way. I mean, I never really had a problem getting girls. We’ll put it that way, but it’s not like they were breaking into fist-fights for me either :)
Okay, you obviously know your hot, so do you think hottness is something you’re born with, or is something you have to “acquire”? That’s a tough one, in a way. I’ve talked to girls about this before… when they’ve emailed The Hook-up Doctor and I’ve tried to tell them, even if you don’t think you’re “hot” confidence is hot. Be proud of who you are, ya know? Stuff like that is way attractive. It goes a long way. That’s always been one of my biggest advice to girls so I guess it goes for guys too.
Where did you get your idea for the Hook up Doctor? I got into it to make money. I needed a car and jobs weren’t really jumping at me, if you know what I mean. Plus, I guess you can say I like to give my opinion. It just sort of happened though. I’ve seen my mom get hurt so many times, seen how the game was played and I thought I could give girls some pointers. It sucks to see girls get hurt. I’m not down with that.
What is your idea of the perfect date? Anything with my girl.
Can you tell us a little about Aspen? She’s awesome? Gorgeous? Funny? Puts up with my crap? No, I’m kidding. She definitely doesn’t put up with my crap. She’s cool though. She’s strong… confident, but she’s got… I don’t know, a soft side? That sounds lame. She’s just her.
What do you find most attractive in a girl? I’m big on loyalty. Yeah, that’s not a physical description, but if I’m going to spend my time with someone, I want it to be someone who’s real… who’s not just out for themselves, ya know? I like people who are real, who can take a joke without getting all bent out of shape, but who can also fling them right back. That’s hot.
Favorite Movie? Boondock Saints
Favorite kind of pizza? Pepperoni and olives.
Any parting advice or words of wisdom for all us girls?
Now you know I’m supposed to be retired, don’t you? Hahaha. Seriously though, confidence, strength, don’t take crap, and the huge one… the one I’ve seen too many girls make—don’t think you need a guy. It’s cool to want one. But need and want are two different things.
This interview sounds way too sappy when I read it over. I sound like I chump. I’m man enough to be okay with that.
Courtesy of watching his mom’s relationships, Sebastian Hawkins knows what girls need to do to get a guy. He has what he considers a PHD in hooking up. When he needs extra cash for a car, Sebastian starts up an online venture as The Hook-up Doctor, to anonymously help girls land the guy of their dreams. Of course, his services don’t offer a happily-ever-after guarantee. He’s seen firsthand getting together never means staying together.
And then he falls in love…
With the last girl he would expect…
Totally not in his game plan.
Suddenly, Sebastian finds himself muddled in the game he’s always prided himself on. He can’t even pick up girls at parties anymore! Why would anyone want to be in love when it turns you into a stuttering, screwed-up, mess with really lame stalker tendencies? Stalking? Totally not his gig.
But the Hook-up Doctor won’t let himself go down easily. He’s always known how to give a girl what she wants and now it’s time to figure out what a boy wants… and he definitely plans on getting it.
