I am very excited to be a part of the blog tour for Shelly Crane's book Revolution. This is the fourth and final installment in the Collide series. The tour is sponsored by SupaGurl Book Tours. You can check out the other stops on the tour here. In addition to a review, we have a special treat for you today, which is a character interview with Cain from the Collide Series. He is quite the hottie and I hope you enjoy the interview. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Revolution (Collide #4)
by Shelly Crane
Publication Date: September 4, 2012
In the fourth and final installment, everything is on the line. Merrick's life is in the balance and Lily is their only hope. Ellie and her new powers are miraculous, but also problematic; if she's with the bunker family, they won't be able to sense when the Lighters are there. There are many new members to the bunker and sparks will fly, and with the food shortage, they will all have plenty to deal with. Miguel is intrigued with Rylee, her past and her spunk. Ryan and Elli are barely scratching the surface of their relationship. Cain and Lillian will have to deal with Daniel, who has no qualms about showing his true feelings for her. And Sherry and Merrick…what will happen to this happenstance family who have worked so hard to come together? Can they all survive? Can they all withstand the new enemy that is right outside their door? Can they beat the Lighters, once and for all…
My Thoughts: It is so sad to see this series come to an end. We've all been through thick and thin with Sherry, Merrick, and the rest of the gang. In Revolution, the battle is coming to a crescendo. Not only are they threatened by the Lighters, the Markers, and the Enforcers, now they have Graphters to worry about. After their location is compromised, they have to leave suddenly, leaving everything they have built behind, things, memories, and lost loved ones. Food is scarce and so is privacy, but nevertheless they press on. There are turns in relationships and choices are made, which will affect each of their futures.
We are introduced to a some new characters in this book, one being Chesser, who is an Enforcer that is secretly helping the rebels. I really liked him. Lily is said to hold the key to ending the war, and she does. This beautiful little girl is just precious. All the Keepers are their usual hot selves, and even Daniel the Lighter who turned over a new leaf, ends up being a hero. Cain is still his sexy, funny self, and you can't help but love him and Lillian. Miguel and Rylee are pretty hilarious also.
Shelly has done an excellent job in bringing the series to a close in Revolution, which is exciting, fast-paced, and entertaining. There is still a ton of romance, which Shelly writes so well, and there is also a whole lot of action, danger, and edge of your seat situations that keep you turning the pages. Although I hate to see the series end, it really ends so well, and I think you will truly be pleased. Shelly even writes an epilogue, which is so awesome, and we get to find out about some new "little surprises" in it. This is a great end to an awesome series and I highly recommend it.
Now here's the special treat I promised you, an interview with Cain....swoon....swoon.....swoon. I even have a picture for you. Now for those of you who don't know, Cain is super hot, ex-military with a tattoo, and he has a lip ring. I searched high and low to try to find a hot guy that had all three of these qualities, and believe me, you don't want to know some of the places I ended up. The reason I am explaining this is so you will understand the picture. Though I couldn't find all these attributes on one gorgeous human being, I did find them separately, thus the picture you see. You'll have to use your imagination for the rest. Ladies, Cain is a one woman man, so we call all look, but we can't touch. Only Lillian gets to do that.
So Cain, welcome. I’m so excited that you were able to stop by today ….. (I sigh and think he’s so HOT - then reluctantly lift my hand to shut mouth which has fallen open while gawking).
1. There’s one thing I think a lot of us fangirls want to know. Can you tell us the story behind the lip ring?
(laughs) Well....it was late....I was full of alcohol, sadly. And I have always been a rebel. What can I say?
2. We also heard you have a tattoo. Can you tell us what that is of (or better yet, show us)?
(Lifts sleeve) Right there. It's the Marine's tattoo. Semper Fi.
3. I know you and Daniel have had your “issues,” mainly regarding Lillian. Is there anything you would like to say about Daniel?
(Cracks knuckles) Nah.... Not in front of the children.
4. Cain, we all know that you are special (smiles). Can you explain to us exactly what your special gift is?
My hands are magical. (Grins) In more ways than one, but if we're talking supernatural? Jeff calls it the Sonic boom. I get this electrical pulse boom...blast...thing that comes from my palms.
After staring at those hands for an inappropriately long amount of time I come to my senses somewhat and manage to go to the next question.
5. Okay, this is probably one of your favorite questions. Can you tell us about Lillian?
She's (smiles) gorgeous. Genuine. A hilarious riot. A fantastic kisser. Loyal. Giving. And her legs.... wait... what were we talking about?
6. I hear you’re quite the musician and singer. If you could sing something for us, what would it be?
L's favorite song is Run by Collective Soul. So not that one. (Laughs) Maybe...some Coldplay. Sherry's favorite.
7. Lastly, have you let anyone else besides Sherry call you Cainy Boy yet, or is that just reserved for her?
Her only. (Points finger) Like, seriously.
Random: (When we say a word or phrase, tell us the first word that comes to mind)

Coffee - Sherry
Aliens - Daniel
Lillian - Hot
