Book Description:
The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.

Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white. But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her. Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them. Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire. She wants them both. And they want her. How will she ever choose between them?

What Inspired Author M. Leighton to Write The Bad Boys Series

I wanted to write a story about a girl who always falls for the wrong guy, but is trying to condition herself to fall for the right guy.

When Olivia meets the brothers, they’re both equally appealing, but in completely different ways. For once, it seems she has a choice in which guy she falls for.  Or does she?

I think all us girls have had a few relationships in our lives where we’ve known who the “right” guy is.  Unfortunately, the heart wants what the heart wants.  Sometimes that ends badly.  But sometimes it doesn’t.  I think that’s what drives us all—that elusive “one.”  What I wanted to explore is the choice we make after several disastrous failures.  Do we stop trying and give up on love?  Or do we keep wading through the Mr. Wrongs, suffering the wounded hearts in the process, to get to that one, perfect Mr. Right?  Some might say Olivia learned nothing from her past and is only repeating the same mistakes.  But I say sometimes you have to persevere. Sometimes you can have it all. If you don’t give up.  That is what is explored more in Up to Me, book 2 of this series.

My Review of DOWN TO YOU:  Oh my, where to start......I guess the best place to start and to end is with Cash Davenport.  Yes ladies, he is to die for and I am totally in love with him.  This book starts out hot and crescendos into hottness of earth-shaking proportions by the time the book ends.  Olivia Townsend is in college, studying accounting, with the plan of helping her dad with his business when she is done.  She's never really considered anything else.  She only knows she doesn't want to leave him or disappoint him the way her mother did.  After her roommate leaves and due to financial reasons, she moves in with her cousin Marissa.  Marrissa is spoiled and bratty, her family is very wealthy, and has a law firm, which Marissa is a part of.  She's everything that Olivia is not, nor does she want to be.  However, there is one thing Marissa has that Olivia is very envious of, and that is Nash Davenport.  Yes, Nash Davenport is Cash Davenport's twin brother.  Nash is everything that Cash isn't.  He's on his way to become a successful lawyer and of course he is good looking (I mean he is Cash's twin).  In fact, he is everything that Olivia "should" want in a guy, and boy does she wants him.

Cash Davenport is your ultimate hot bad boy.  He owns a club, is mysterious, is a ladies man,and has a dark side........everything Olivia doesn't need, but yet everything that her heart desires.  Thanks to Nash, Olivia gets a job as a bartender at Cash's club.  The same club where she first met him, and oh the details of that meeting are mouthwatering.  Olivia has a history with bad boys, and not a very good one, so she tries really hard to stay away from Cash.......EPIC fail.  Cash wants Olivia as much as Olivia wants Cash, and when Cash wants something, he is bound and determined to get it.  The more time Olivia spends with Cash, the more attracted to him she is, and she hopes beyond hope that maybe he isn't as bad for her as she thinks  There is one problem.  She really likes Nash to, and Nash really likes Olivia.  Needless to say, Olivia has some things she needs to figure out.  Just when it seems things can't get any more complicated, Leighton ups the ante and throws a twist in the story that will leave your reeling, and believe me that is exactly what happens to Olivia.

DOWN TO YOU is one of the sexiest books that I've read in the past year and I absolutely loved it.  I liked Olivia's character, though I would never have fought the attraction to Cash as much as she did.  I am a bad boy groupie, so I fell hard for Cash.  OMG, he is the epitome of sexiness, and hotness personified.  I read the book in one night, one late night, because I just couldn't put it down.  I loved the story line.  It gets intense as you go along, and the romance is off the charts sizzling hot.  DOWN TO YOU is one contemporary romance you don't want to miss out on.  It get's even better in the second book of the series, UP TO ME.  If you haven't read DOWN TO YOU, hurry and get it ASAP, then you are in for a treat because UP TO ME is now available.  Trust me, you haven't lived until you experience Cash Davenport.

Favorite Quotes from Down To You:

“You’ve never ridden a motorcycle before?”
“What kind of bad-boy girlfriend are you?” I ask in mock dismay.
“Evidently a terrible one.”
I swing onto the bike and grab my only helmet. “Nah, you just haven’t met the right bad-boy.”

“I shouldn't have stayed as long as I did, but I wanted to hold her while she slept. I wanted her to know I wasn't going anywhere. That she was safe with me. In my arms.”

“His eyes meet mine and one brow rises in that holy mother of hell-sexy way, then he mutters, "You've got one chance to make my mouth water.”

“I promise you won’t regret it. I promise to make you feel things and enjoy things you never even thought of before. I’ll make every night the best night of your life until you say it’s over.”

“What the hell do you want from me?”  “What are you trying to do to me?”  “Stop! Just stop!” he spits.
“Why? What else needs to be said? I think you’ve told me enough lies for a lifetime.”  “No more lies,” he says angrily. “I don’t even want to talk to you anymore. I just want to hear you tell me that you don’t feel anything for me. That you want me to leave you alone and never come back. Then I’ll go. If that’s what you really want, I’ll go.”  “Don’t. Please don’t say it.”  “Why?”  “Because I don’t want you to. I need you to come back to me. Not to help me. Or to help my father. I’m done with that. I don’t want your help. It all boils down to you. I just want you.”  “I just want you.”

Book Description:  Happily ever after doesn’t come easy.  But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms.  He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest.  Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.

Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time.  And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back.  Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.

Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises.  Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well.  She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option.  And this is one of them.  If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life.  But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.

  1. I like M. Leighton's YA books. I am sorry to see the rush towards the New Adult genre. I went to YA because they are without strong sexual content and My daughter and I can share books. I hope the YA genre remains strong.
