This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about their boyfriends and teases their readers with things they've said.
1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.
2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.
3) Pick a quote from his book, it could be long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is
4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation, DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises)
5) Share it! Add you name and link to the Linky below.
This week my book boyfriend is Jared from Soar (The Empire Chronicles #1) by Alyssa Rose Ivy. Jared is also a character in The Crescent Chronicles (Flight, Focus and Found). The Empire Chronicles is a spin-off from this series.
Here's what Casey Bates, one of the main characters in the book has to say about Jared:
"What did you think of Jared?"
Hot. I kept that to myself. "Pushy and arrogant."
The Pterons are back....
In the city that never sleeps the Chronicles continue…
Serving coffee is temporary, just like Casey's year off from school. She’s going to come up with a plan to stay in New York City and go back to college, and that plan does not involve dating a paranormal creature—let alone two.
Running the supernatural society of New York is not as fun as it sounds, especially when you still have to answer to your ex-girlfriend’s fiancé. Toby doesn’t mean to bring Casey into the chaos of his life, but he can't resist the girl who makes him smile when he thought no one else ever could.
Jared's in New York checking out a security risk for his best friend, the king. He plans to return to New Orleans quickly, but not if it means losing his chance with the brunette who pretends she wants nothing to do with him.
In over her head with a bunch of winged creatures who most definitely are not angels, Casey has to figure out who to trust with her life and maybe her heart.
"Could you open the door?" a male voice asked. The voice was deep and kind of sexy. I wondered if the owner of the voice matched it. Not to mention, I hoped the owner of the voice wasn't insane.
"Who are you?"
He sighed, like my even asking the question was ridiculous. "I'm here on business. I need to talk to Toby."
"He's not here."
"I'm not going away until you open the door."
"People know I'm here. If you kill me, you won't get away with it."
He laughed. "I'm not going to kill you."
"How do I know that?"
"Because I gave my name to the doorman, I've been caught on no less than six surveillance cameras, and I don't generally go around killing people. Especially not girls."
"Why are you less likely to kill girls?"
"Because I like them. A lot."
"I don't know what got into me.".....
"Sure you do, Casey. I got into you." His hand slid down my body stopping on my inner thigh.
"Yes. Yes you did."
