Book Boyfriend of the Week: Isaiah from Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

TITLE: "Book Boyfriend of the Week: What kind is yours?"
This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about their boyfriends and teases their readers with things they've said.
Want to participate?
All you have to do is:

1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.
2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.
3) Pick a quote from his book, it could be long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is
4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation, DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises)
5) Share it! Add you name and link to the Linky below.

This week my book boyfriend is Isaiah from Crash Into You by Katie McGarry.  I am just crazy about him.  Here is how Katie McGarry describes Isaiah, "Tattooed, pierced, someone the world is terrified of, but who's so loyal that he would die to protect the people he loves."

Summary from Godreads:
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

You can see my review here.

“You can ignore me, Rachel, and you can try to treat me as a friend, but none of that will erase the fact that I think about kissing you every second I’m awake and dream at night of my hands on your body. And it sure as hell won’t erase that I’m terrified by how much I like you.”

“I don’t want to be without you. I like who I am with you, and I don’t want to go back to who I was before.”

“I love you, Rachel. So this will work. No matter what or who stands in our way.”

“When I’m with you, even my past seems like a bad dream,” he says. “I’ve sat on this hill a hundred times, and all I used to see were lights that represented places where I wasn’t wanted, where I never belonged. Now, when you aren’t with me, I look east and know one of those lights represents you, and I don’t feel alone anymore.”

“Maybe this is what happens when you fall in love. On the outside a lighter is nothing amazing, but it holds all the ingredients that can create something wonderful. With a few pushes in the right direction, you can inspire something so brilliant that it pushes back the darkness.”
“The first moment I saw him, the night people clamored over each other to step out of his way, I was frightened. The guy with earrings and tattoos and an energy radiating danger. Now-inside and out-all I see is beauty.”

I kiss each and every centimeter of her exposed skin as I move up her tank.  I linger over the material of her bra and Rachel fists the sheet with both hands.  She's so damn hot I'm about to forget slow and go for fast.  But I ignore those urges and guide the material up and over her head.  I don't know what the hell I did to have such a beautiful creature in my bed, but she's here and I'm going to spend tonight worshiping this gift in front of me.
