This week my book boyfriend of the week is Nate Sawyer from Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young.  Let me introduce you to him....

Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin street #3)
by Samantha Young
Publication Date:  1/7/14
Publisher:  NAL/Penguin

Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex—usually, she can’t get up the nerve to approach guys she’s interested in. But moving to Edinburgh has given her a new start, and, after she develops a crush on a sexy postgrad, she decides it’s time to push past her fears and go after what she wants.

Nate Sawyer is a gorgeous player who never commits, but to his close friends, he’s as loyal as they come. So when Olivia turns to him with her relationship woes, he offers to instruct her in the art of flirting and to help her become more sexually confident.

The friendly education in seduction soon grows into an intense and hot romance. But then Nate’s past and commitment issues rear their ugly heads, and Olivia is left broken-hearted. When Nate realizes he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he will have to work harder than he ever has before to entice his best friend into falling back in love with him—or he may lose her forever…

“Do you play video games, Liv?’ he asked congenially.‘Uh, yes.’‘Well, stop cleaning up the dishes and come play with us,’ he teased.I chuckled. ‘Are you asking me on a playdate?’ As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I regretted them. I wasn’t being flirty. I didn’t know how to be flirty! That was just my sense of humor, and now this guy was going to think I was coming on –Nate laughed, cutting me off. ‘Only because you got the Star Trek reference. Otherwise, girls aren’t allowed to play with us. They’re icky.’Deadpan, I crossed my arms over my chest. ‘Well, boys are icky too.’He grinned huge. ‘Ain’t that the truth.”
"What?"
"You have next to no experience, and I have too much."
"My mouth twisted with annoyance.  "It's not really a good time to brag about that shit, Nathaniel."
He grinned at me.
"I'm not bragging.  I'm helping."
"Helping?"
"Helping you."
Helping me how?"
"Helping you get laid."

“You trust me to do this with you, but I’ve got to trust that you won’t try to make this into anything more than a friend helping out another friend.”
“Okay, we’ll take it step by step. Strip to your underwear.”
A shiver went through me at his demand, but I found myself replying, “You could ask nicely, you know.”

His lips twitched. “Olivia, sweetheart, would you please strip down to your underwear for me?”

Nate shook his head, looking a little impatient. "I'm not attracted to all women. Believe me." He took a step closer to me, so close I had to tilt my head back a little to meet his eyes, eyes that now smoldered in a way that caused the breath to hitch in my throat. "If you were just some woman in a bar, I'd pick you out from all the others, take you home, and fuck you so hard you wouldn't be able to walk straight in the morning."

My whole body relaxed into my mattress at Nate's reply. Despite still feeling a little anxious about the whole thing, I decided he was right. It was only weird if we let it be weird, so I snorted instead and answered, "I'm not worried I can't kiss, if that's what you're asking."

"Oh, babe." His deep voice rumbled in my ear and I was pretty sure my pupils dilated as the tingling started up between my legs again. "You can kiss. Believe me."
"Well, I certainly believe your dick."

Nate said quietly, “Liv’s perfect. She deserves perfect. She won’t be settling for anything less.”
“That’s right, babe,” he murmured as he lifted my right leg over his shoulder and parted me.
“I’m taking you straight to heaven.”

“Heaven. Hell,” I panted, my fingers raking the wall. “Who cares as long as I ride there on an orgasm…”
“…Damn,” I finally whispered as he undressed. “Your mouth should be illegal.”
"You look insanely fuckable." Hot...
I wanted him to love me the way I loved him.  The kind of love that is so big it would last beyond a lifetime.
“Upstairs in my bed, where it had all started, I slowly made love to Nate, promising him with every inch of me, that the ‘after’ we’d found together … well … it was forever.”
After I took my seat I looked around at Ellie, Jo, Joss, Braden, Adam, and Cam, and I had to bite my lip to stifle my laughter.  They were staring at Nate as if they'd never seen him before.   "It's a man-whore miracle," Joss breathed, her eyes wide.
“You taught me to be brave again, Nate.'I swiped at the tears, my heart catching painfully as his eyes seared into mine. 'How can such a coward teach someone to be brave?”
