A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance
by NYT Bestselling Author Vi Keeland

Meet Liv Michaels.  It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere.  Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember.  Even though I’d much rather forget.  Liv Michaels is almost there.  She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years.  Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone.  Women love a fighter, especially a good one.  Lucky for me, I’m damn good.  But there’s one woman that isn’t interested.  Not again, anyway.  Vince ‘The Invincible’ Stone is every woman’s fantasy…strong, sexy, confident and completely in control.  Growing up surrounded by chaos, he’s learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down.  He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own…for the night anyway.  With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there’s no denying the chemistry is still there.  But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

My Thoughts:  I loved Worth the Fight, book one in this series, which was the first thing I had read by Vi Keeland.  Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Worth the Chance, book two in the series, and sink my teeth into Vinny's story.  Worth the Chance reads like a companion novel, so it isn't necessary to read Worth the Fight first, though I would definitely recommend reading it because it is really good.

I love sports themed books, and books about MMA fighters are high on that list.  We were originally introduced to Vinny in Worth the Fight.  He was a young teen who Nico was mentoring that had a rough family life.  Vinny never knew his father and his mother is a drug addict who has had men in and out of her life.  Vinny has always hated her lifestyle, yet always wanted to protect her at the same time.  In Worth the Chance, we meet an all grown up Vince Stone, now 25 years old and one of the top contenders in the MMA circle.  He is a little rough around the edges and has been in his share of trouble, but now is now back on track and working towards a really big fight.  Liv Michaels is a journalist and is interning and hoping to get a job at one of the papers in town.  When she receives an assignment to interview a local fighter, she doesn't realize who it is until she is literally at the gym and the two come face-to-face with each other.  Memories of 7 years earlier floods her mind, memories of love, lust, pain, and rejection.  Memories also flood Vinny's mind, because he has never forgotten Liv or what they shared in the past.  As the two spend more time together, old feelings are rekindled and lead to more, but there are also secrets and perceived betrayal that threaten to destroy them and any hope of a future they may have, forcing them to each decide if what  they have is worth fighting for.

I loved both Liv and Vinny's characters.  Vinny is as alpha male as alpha can get.  He is as hot as they come, sexy as sin, with a smile that will melt you where you stand.  He also has a temper and is a man whore, but then he has women throwing themselves at him left and right.  Liv is a great girl and though she is tempted with promises of great things to come, she really cares for Vinny and would never do anything to hurt him.

I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book.  Not only do we get to see Nico and Elle, but we also meet Ally, Liv's BFF, who I just loved also, as well as are introduced to a few other memorable characters.  The pacing of the story was great, as it the writing, and I was captivated from beginning to end.  If it weren't for having to work, I would have read the book in one sitting.  Overall, Worth the Chance is hot, fun, sexy, and definitely entertaining.  I can't wait to see what Vi Keeland has in store for her readers next.  If you are a contemporary romance fan, then Worth the Chance is a book I would definitely recommend checking out.

About the Author
Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work.  She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!
