Book Description:
Beau Montgomery is not the typical single dad for three reasons:

1.      He’s rich and famous.
2.      He needs a nanny, like yesterday.
3.      He has no idea if eight month old, Mia, is actually his daughter.

Only, number three doesn’t matter to him at all, because he’s determined to give up everything to be a standup dad, including racing, partying, and his very favorite vice, women. Until that is, he’s invited to race at Monaco—a dream he’s always had. Now, all those things he’d sworn to give up are at his fingertips, including the very inconveniently hot nanny, Landry Basnight, who’s travelling with him.

Landry Basnight is the typical college graduate for three reasons:

1.      She’s broke and in debt up to her eyeballs.
2.      She needs a job, like yesterday.
3.      Nothing exciting ever happens in her life.

Only, number three is about to change, because she’s been hired by Beau Montgomery, son of NASCAR Racing Royalty. Landry’s parents are big fans of the Montgomerys, while she couldn’t care less—all she wants to do is make a dent in her student loan bill. However, that doesn’t stop her from falling in love with her little charge, nor does it make it easier to resist Beau’s charms.  In fact , she doesn’t resist at all.

Lines are crossed and then forgotten as Beau and Landry grow closer, but when Beau’s ex-girlfriend, the woman he’s loved since high school, and Mia’s mother shows up, everything starts to fall apart for the new couple.

Will their love weather the storm, or will Beau abandon Landry for the family he’s always wanted?

My Thoughts:  I just adore The Boys of the South Series by Marquita Valentine and I have really been excited about reading Beau Montgomery's story.  He has been a secondary character in the previous novels, but he's always had this mysterious hotness and sex appeal about him that has intrigued me and made me want to get to know him better, and in Burn For You, that is exactly what you get to do.

Beau Montgomery is a very wealthy and famous race car driver who has always had the "playboy" reputation.  All that begins to change when the woman who he thought was the love of his life...and the woman who has broken his heart time and time again, drops the little lady who steals his heart pretty much in his lap.  Beau doesn't know if Mia is his daughter or not, but he loves her just the same and would do anything, and I mean anything for her, and he does.  As a matter of fact, he proves to be one of the most amazing dad's you've ever seen.  When he is presented with an opportunity that has been a dream of his and is too good to turn down, he needs a Nanny and he needs her now.  Landry Basnight is up to her eyeballs in student debt.  The job that she had in school was, let's just say, not something she wanted to continue to do, especially after she met Beau Montgomery there.  She has no idea when she applies for the Nanny position that it would be for Beau Montgomery, and he certainly has no idea when he opens the door for her interview appointment that he would find Landry on the other side.  Neither feel that the job would be a good idea or work for them, but fate, with a little help from someone that will surprise you, has a different plan.

Beau, Landry, and Mia wind up in Monaco for Beau's race.  Landry is wonderful with Mia, thoroughly impressing both Beau, his family, and Mia's not so stable mother AKA Beau's ex.  The chemistry between Beau and Landry is undeniable and trying to keep things strictly business proves futile.  Landry is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.  She is also very mature, yet very innocent and trusting.  Beau is all kind of sexy, complete with the hot dirty talk, and surprisingly, not the player he seems to be after all.  Beau also has his secrets from his past that eat at him, and then there is Mia's mom.  Landry is crazy about Beau, but she also isn't sure she fits into his world, and there are a few hurtful situations that occur during the process, but my boy Beau handles things really well, which was very impressive.

The romance was hot, steamy, and has you rooting for the characters.  The story itself is fun, heart-warming, definitely sexy, and it also has it's sad moments.  The ending surprised me, but in a good way.  Marquita Valentine in her trademark style, has yet again provided her readers with a wonderful and captivating contemporary romance.  If you are a fan of this genre, Burn For You is something I most definitely  recommend checking out.  It is part of a series, but can also be read as a standalone.

“I want a love that makes me burn and melt and gives me every gooey feeling in the world. I want a morning kisses and late-night talk kind of love. I want a eat dessert naked in bed kind of love." I take a deep breath. "I want a man who chooses to love me --in good times and bad, because I'm going to chose to love him right back. We won't be perfect, nothing's perfect but it would be my kind of perfect love.”
