He’s someone she can’t trust…

She’s someone he thinks he knows…

Violet Wilson is a wallflower. Shy, serious, and accident-prone, she’s got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The night she’s forced to pose with her friend might just be the worst time of all—that’s when she meets Jet Blevins. She knows better than to get involved with someone like him, but he touches her in ways she never expected, neverwanted before.

On the outside, Jet is a typical rocker, an arrogant lead guitarist who unapologetically lives a wild lifestyle. But on the inside, he’s battling demons and using the stage to escape the troubles of his past and the addictions of his present. Until the night he sees Violet standing at the back of the room. She brings his life into focus. She knows his secrets. She’s the girl he can’t forget, and the one thing he craves more than his addiction.

But can they ever hope to have a future when their very foundation is nothing but lies?

My Thoughts:  I am such a huge fan of M. Leighton's and I just love The Wild One's Series.  I fell in love with with Trick from The Wild Ones, then there was Rusty in Wild Child, next was my favorite of all, Jake in Some Like it Wild, and now my fourth crush is on Jet from There's Wild Then There's You.  If there's one thing you can count on when you read a book by M. Leighton, it's that you will adore her leading man and at some point in the book, you will fall in love with him.  She knows how to deliver a hot, romantic story, and that is exactly what you will find in this book.  Each of the novels in this series can be read as a standalone, but once you read one, you're going to want to read them all.

We met Jet in Some Like it Wild.  He's a rocker and the lead singer in the band Saltwater Creek.  Violet is a social worker who has an overwhelming desire to fix people.  I loved both of these characters and their story, which will suck you in from beginning to end.  I enjoyed the where, when, and how of how they met, and while there were lies and secrets on both parts, they amazingly shared so many truthful deep thoughts in the midst of it all.  You will know what Violet's secret is about early on, but M. Leighton keeps you guessing for quite a while as to what Jet's lie was about.  It actually took me by surprise because I was thinking about a whole different venue while contemplating the revealing of Jet's secret.

The romance is hot, steamy, and swoon worthy as is classic for M. Leighton books.  The chemistry between the two characters is electric and I loved the relationship that developed between them, and how they helped each other deal with their issues.  Jet really proved himself in this book, which made me love him even more.  There's Wild Then There's You is fun, hot, sexy, and captivating, and if you are a contemporary romance fan, then this is a story you won't want to miss.

“You are the beautiful notes in every song I sing. You are the beautiful face behind every lyric I write. You are my reason, my muse. You’re the love I was waiting for, the one thing I can’t live without.”

“I wanted him to know that you are mine.” Violet’s voice is soft. “But I’m not yours.” I take a few long, deep, ragged breaths. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t want you to be.”

“Don’t you understand, Jet? You were my weakness. You are my weakness.”

“She didn’t plan for me to need her like I do—to need to feel her body beneath mine, to need to taste her soft recesses, to need to be inside her more and more with every day that passes.”
