Blog Tour: Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin with Review and Giveaway

FRACTURED LINES- by Jen McLaughlin
October 2014
BOOK BLURB:
The lines we once crossed so easily have widened and torn us apart…
Once upon a time I thought Finn and I would live happily ever after, but real life doesn't always have a happy ending. He's testing my trust, and I'm losing faith in the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it. He’s the one I trusted to keep me safe, but now he’s the source of my greatest pain…
Forgiveness is fragile, and some fractures never fully heal...
One mistake—a slip in a moment of weakness—might cost me everything I've worked so hard for. The thing about trust is that it's a lot easier to lose than it is to build. Just as I'm about to give up and surrender to the demons from my past, an unexpected threat reminds me what I'm best at: protecting the woman I love. Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I will keep them safe—no matter the cost.
Even if I have to put my life and my heart on the line.

My Thoughts:  I loved Finn and Carrie's story in the Out of Line series and was excited that Jen McLaughlin decided to write an adult story about them a number of years down the road.  Knowing that there was going to be some serious drama, I was also a bit fearful because I thought, if either one of them cheats on the other it is going to upset me really bad, because their's was one of those relationships that despite it all, would last a lifetime.  Without revealing too much, I can tell fans of the series there is no cheating (clapping loudly at this point).  There are, however, some very hard and heartbreaking obstacles that these two have to face that threaten to tear them apart for good, and also some very dangerous ones.

I still loved both Finn and Carrie's characters.  The passion and chemistry between them is as strong as ever, despite all they are going through.  Finn is still his hot sexy self, so get ready to swoon girls.  Jen McLaughlin has done an excellent job of taking the reader inside the minds of the characters, connecting you to them as they each face their own issues, concerns, and even judgments about each other.  Then, through a turn of events, you get to experience what it is like when they each see and feel things from the other's perspective up close and personal, all the while providing her readers with a gripping story that will captivate you from beginning to end.  Fractured Lines is a wonderful addition to the Out of Line series and I thoroughly enjoyed it and most definitely would recommend it.
