This week my book boyfriend is Tripp Newark from You Were Mine by Abbi Glines.  He's hot, sweet, romantic, and boy can he talk dirty.

From #1 "New York Times "bestselling author Abbi Glines comes a brand-new Rosemary Beach novel about Tripp Newark and his hidden romantic past with Bethy Lowry.

In the eyes of the wealthy playboys who frequent Kerrington Country Club in Rosemary Beach, Tripp Newark is a hero. Under pressure from his parents to become a lawyer and lead a conservative, upper-class life, Tripp disappeared from town five years ago to travel the world, forfeiting the opportunity to inherit millions. Yet few know what he was really running from...

Bethy Lowry was unraveling long before her boyfriend drowned in a riptide trying to save her after she'd had one too many drinks--again. A trailer park kid working as a cart girl among the wealthy patrons of Kerrington Country Club, Bethy has always been impressionable. But five years ago, before she earned her reputation as a hard-drinking, easy girl, she had spent a single summer with Tripp Newark that changed her life forever...

My Review:  You Were Mine is Tripp and Bethy's story.  We've known Bethy since the very beginning of the series and I was so glad to see her get her own story.  In fact, I was a little surprised because I really didn't know her as well as I thought, and found out there was a lot more to her than I anticipated.  Tripp is total hotness, as all o Abbi's guys are.  I loved him.  He was seemed a little tamer than some of the others, i.e., Rush and Woods (who are my favorites), but when he gets  in the bedroom, his dirty talk will make you melt.

Tripp and Bethy have a past that is both beautiful and very painful, and with Jace and their past between them, there is a lot to overcome, especially for Bethy.  Tripp proves himself on more than one occasion, however, even if he did tick me off a few times during the novel, and even if I thought Bethy resisted a little too much.  I loved the way Abbi Glines ended the story and I would have loved to see it go on a little longer. You Were Mine is a wonderful addition to the Rosemary Beach series and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I can't wait to read Mase's story in the next installment, which is scheduled to come out in April.
