Review: Fury by Fisher Amelie

FURY
(The Seven Deadly Series)
by Fisher Amelie
Published 5/4/15

FURY Synopsis:
Revenge is an euphoric thing. Trust me on this. Nothing compares to the release you get when you ruin someone’s life. When they’ve stolen important things. Things that didn’t belong to them. Things I revel in making them pay for.

What? Have I offended you? I’m not here to appeal to your delicate senses. I have no intention of placating your wishes or living within your personal belief system nor do I care if you hate me. And you will hate me. Because I’m a brutal, savage, cold-blooded murderer and I’m here for my revenge.

I’m Ethan Moonsong...And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most sacrificing man to the most feared and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

My Thoughts:  I fell in love with this series when I read the first book by Fisher Amelie, VAIN.  It was so wonderful and such a deep and truly moving novel involving a topic that will break and melt your heart.  Then there was GREED, which was so awesome and, again, displayed what an excellent author Fisher Amelie truly is.  FURY is the third book in The Seven Deadly Series, and is one I have been dying to get my hands on.  Each book in this series can easily be read as a standalone, but once you read one, you will be chomping at the bits to read the others.

FURY is Ethan Moonsong's story.  We met Ethan Moonsong in GREED, and he was a character I desperately wanted to get to know more.  The female lead in this story is Finley, and I absolutely love her.  FURY is a story filled with second chances and friends to lovers romance.  That said, OMG, FURY is sooooo much more than that.  The story centers around an issue that plaques pretty much every country in the world right now, an issue that is heartbreaking, and in the recent years has drawn a lot of attention.  It is also an issue that will break your heart.  As both Ethan and Finley try to overcome the hurts and wounds from their past, they also realize how much they need each other to do that.  You will travel from the heart of Montana deep into Vietnam, where the suspense, danger, and intensity of the novel will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Ethan Moonsong is a FORCE all it's own, becoming both a savior and an avenging angel whose vengeance brings justice to some.  Yet, to others, he is feared, a killer with a ghostly furious presence that when revealed, commands both reverence, fear, and awe.

The romantic aspect of the story was wonderful, and that aspect of the story while intense in nature, was also very clean.  I loved how things unfolded for Ethan and Finley in this novel, and the epilogue brought a smile to my face and left a sigh on my lips.  Awesome, beautiful, heartbreaking, and filled with suspence, FURY is a book you won't want to miss.

“Ethan, you can choose to hope or you can choose to fear. Fear is a crippling disease. It takes over and paralyzes. Hope bolsters, motivates. People who fear, die. People who hope, live. Even in death they live.”

  1. Interesting. I haven't read any of this series. I have Fury and I've read some excerpts. I wonder if I will like it. You're convincing me that I will.
