Review: Moonlight on Nightingale Way by Samantha Young

Moonlight on Nightingale Way
On Dublin Street #6

Logan from Echoes of Scotland Street is back with his own smoldering story, as the New York Times bestselling On Dublin Street series returns…

Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he’s ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction…

Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right—or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor.

Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she’s been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they’ve worked to build…

My Thoughts:  I fell in love with this series when I read the very first novel, On Dublin Street, and totally got lost in Braden Carmichael.  I think Braden and Joss's story will always be my favorite, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.  In Moonlight on Nightingale Way, we get Logan and Grace's story.  We met Logan in Echoes of Scotland Street.  He is Shannon's older brother and has been through quite a lot.  He is finally getting his life back together, or so he thinks....but the string of one nightstands he thought he wanted don't hold a candle to Grace.  She thinks he is quite the manwhore, and is most certainly not her type... until he is, and she just isn't quite sure how to handle that.

The circumstances surrounding Grace's life have been anything but easy and she has had to make some difficult choices.  When someone from Logan's past lands back in his life, however, she is the first one to help him.  Logan's confused and in trying to do the right thing, he messes up big-time with Grace.  Rejection and fear set in and she shuts herself off from him, but he soon finds out that he's willing to do anything to have her again.

I did love Logan and Grace's story.  The romance was great and I also loved meeting the special person that helps to bring these two together.  One of the things I enjoyed most was seeing all my favorite characters from the other books in the series making an appearance.  This is the last book in the series, and while I am sad to see it end, I was also pleased with the way things ended up with not only Grace and Logan, but the whole Dublin Street family.  Samantha Young did a great job bringing this series to an end, while providing her readers with a wonderful romance in the process.
Quotes:

“Grace.” His head dipped toward mine. “Tell me to leave.”
“No,” I whispered back, relaxing into the wall, and he melted into me with a groan. “I want you to stay.”
He looked into my eyes as if searching for the answer to something. “If I stay I’m going to fuck you.”
I trembled in reaction to his bluntness and licked my lips before I moved my feet, widening my legs so he could fit just right between them. His eyes flared at the movement, and I reached up so our lips brushed as I whispered. “I’m counting on it.”

“I told you I don’t do casual sex.”
He sat up, too, now. “Grace, there is nothing fucking casual about how I feel about you.”

“Taking in their expressions, I just knew it.
Logan had enlisted them.
The bugger.
“Oh dear God.” I let my head fall back as if in supplication to an unmerciful deity. “Why me?”
Joss snorted. “Yeah, doesn’t it suck when gorgeous, funny, loyal Scotsmen fall in love with us?”
