The author of Into the Blue and Fly with Me returns with the newest, hot and high-flying Wild Aces romance...

A year after losing her husband, Joker, the squadron commander of the Wild Aces, Dani Peterson gets an offer from his best friend, Alex “Easy” Rogers, to help fix up her house. Dani accepts, and their friendship grows—along with an undeniable attraction.

Racked by guilt for loving his best friend’s widow, Easy’s caught between what he wants and can’t have. Until one night everything changes, and the woman who’s always held his heart ends up in his arms. Yet as Easy leaves for his next deployment, he and Dani are torn between their feelings and their loyalty to Joker’s memory.

But when Dani discovers something that sends them both into a spin, the conflicted lovers must overcome the past to navigate a future together…

My Review:  On Broken Wings is the third book in Chanel Cleeton's Wild Aces Series.  If you have followed the series, then you will be well acquainted with Alex Rogers AKA Easy.  Well, this is his story....his and Dani's story, who if you have followed the series you also know her as well.  Easy has loved Dani since the first time he saw her, but she was also the wife if his squadron commander and close friend Joker, so he would never go there.  It's been a year since Joker was tragically killed, and he's been miserable, ridden with guilt, even though he has nothing to be guilty for, and completely in love with Dani still, though he knows he can never go there.  Still, he finds himself volunteering to help her with her house, and to be her "friend" again, despite his better judgement.  The thing is, the more time they spend together, Dani begins to see Easy in a different light as well.  Things happen, and these things complicate matters further.  This combined with another deployement for Easy take both Dani and Easy on a journey they neither one saw coming.

I loved getting to know Easy up close and personal in On Broken Wings.  I also loved seeing he and Dani finally get "their" story.  Their's is a story that is filled with heartbreak, but it is also filled with love, passion, and friendship that turns into so much more.  The journey they take isn't an easy one, but it is one that is so worth taking with them.  If you are a Chanel Cleeton fan and/or a contemporary romance fan in general, On Broken Wings is something you will most definitely want to check out.
